Scientists Win Nobel Prize For Glowing Jellyfish.

Three scientists have won the Nobel prize for successfully using the protein of jellyfish to analyse cells in other living organisms. The protein is responsible for the green glow in jellyfish, a phenomenon that occurs when they are brought under ultraviolet light.The protein when put in other living organisms can now be used to identify different cells since they have been able to make it glow in different colors depending on what type of cell. The achievement may be a turning point in alhzhemier's disease research projects.

World's Largest Particle Collider Shut Down.

CERN, the European Organization for nuclear research, ha shut down its particle collider which also happens to be the larges in the world. This is due to a leak that was said to have occurred on Friday. CERN however said that no human lives had been endangered at any period. While the tunnel undergoes repairs, the collider will be shut down for at least the next two months.

New HP Laptop Lasts for 24hrs Without Electricity.

The EliteBook 6930p, a HP laptop model, has been touted as having a 24hr battery life. The laptop was tested in Hewlett Packard laboratoies and the claims have not been verified by any other parties but nonetheless, HP's reputation does give it much room to tell lies. HP plans to release the laptop in december. The price has not yet been fixed.

The Google Chrome Browser

Google released the beta version of its chrome browser about three days ago. The browser is available for a free download on the google chrome site. There have been a lot of positive reviews but analysts have not ignored its faults. One of which is the fact that the chrome browser has no plugins, Google has however said that it is working on fixing that. Overall the chrome offers a media rich web experience and the final version is something we can all look forward to.

The image of a Chinese factory girl holding her hands in a V Sign over the I Phone is now the center of attention on the web of late. Reportedly, a British buyer switched on his new I Phone and saw a picture of a factory girl. He posted this on an Internet forum where it spread like bushfire. The girl, it appears, is scared by all the attention and is considering quitting her job. The image is not a very incredible one but it has raised questions of forced child labour in china and according to Google news has generated over 250 news stories.

A computer virus has been discovered on a laptop currently in the International Space Station. NASA says an investigation is underway but refused to disclose further details that might have explained how the virus got into space in the first place. The virus was stopped by antivirus programs before any damage could be done.

Facebook Ousts Scrabulous

Scrabulous an online scrabble board game has been removed by face book in all countries except for India. The application which was blocked in the United States and Canada about a month ago due to legal conflicts was asked to be removed completely by Mattel, a company which owns scrabble rights outside North America. The developers of Scrabulous on face book have since replaced it with another game known as word scraper. The new application uses circles instead of normal Squares.
