Two major companies, Yahoo inc and Hewlett Packard have formed a partnership to define the future of Cloud Computing. Together they will establish laboratories that will be primarily used for cloud computing research purposes. Cloud computing is a system by which computers can access programs hosted by third party data centers. One of the laboratories will be located on the University of Illinois campus while the others will be located on HP and Yahoo facilities. Some popular examples of cloud computing software are Facebook and Google Apps
